Lufenuron for Alzheimer's Disease
Hi Dr. Adelfo,
My husband has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease based on a genetic
test. He uses LDN, as well as the regular AD meds (Aricept, Named and Axona), takes meds for prostate cancer and uses coconut oil as much as I can get down him.
Because of articles I’ve read recently about finding fungus in AD brains, I decided to try the lufe. As background, for at least the last 4 years his breath has been atrocious and nothing he or the dentist could come up with cured it, only masked the odor for a short time. After the second day of the Lufenuron, he woke up without the foul breath. It stayed good for a week after the last dose of Lufe. Now it is back, but not quite as strong.
I have already received the next pkg of Lufenuron. Do you think I should start him on his next round now or should I wait the full 12 days (Tuesday the 23rd) after the initial round?
Your input would be appreciated.
For this sort of circumstance, and a couple of others, it is more efficacious to simply take a capsule every other day all month long. Over time this every other day can spread out, as it builds a bigger supply in the fat cells, but it is apparent that there is something that is still encouraging the fungal growth in his mouth (and we can assume other organs as well), so staying on the “fresh” Lufenuron seems to work very well for digestive fungal growth. For most people, (like yourself, hint, hint) having it load into the fat cells, and be slowly released works well. But for gut infections, it is best when it is still in the gut, and the mouth is connected to what is happening in the gut. Does that make sense? One important point is that you cannot overdose Lufenuron, so continuing with next month’s
capsules today will not cause harm.
Please keep me posted. We all learn from each other.
Thank you! I am feeding him breakfast now with extra fat (I whip two to three TBS of melted coconut oil into his eggs before I scramble them). If I hadn’t heard from you, I would have started over with the 2 caps a day. He did have a die off event (headache, body aches, nausea) on the third morning of his first round and a slight one (headache, nausea) three days later. He is one of those people who never just has a headache, the only ones I’ve known him to have were side effects of medication and then very seldom, so it is noticeable.
My husband is very thin with no obvious fat, 5’10 150 LBS. Could the lack of many fat cells keep him from storing the Lufenuron for gradual release? I bought the first supply of Lufenuron because of research making a connection between Alzheimer’s, some cancers (he has prostate cancer) and fungi. The bad breath being caused by fungal growth really surprised and delighted me. It let me know that he does have a problem and the Lufenuron really does work! Another plus, he is thinking and acting better than he has in over a year, his daughters even noticed. I had not told them about the Lufe on account I was afraid they would not approve.
